TEA

We had a tea party
My dolls and I

I did all the talking
The dolls were too shy

A sip of tea, a bite of cake
What a lovely way

For a lonely child
To spend a rainy day

Beautiful. It reminds, dolls

Beautiful. It reminds, dolls & I, the childhood left so behind. Those early days still imprison in the smile of doll. Very Well done all the best. You got all the stars to shine your doll house. Love ShePra

Thank you

ShePra. I appreciate the comments and the stars. Odd you mention doll house, I was thinking of buying me one and filling it with old fashioned furniture like my great-aunts' house was furnished when I was a kid Linda

Loved it.

Simple. Evocative. Line 5 seems awkwardly long to me. Maybe toast or cake rather than crumpets?

Oh poor lovely kid

It took me back in the days, used to see my sister nursing dolls all over around with em and dogs too, which she loved so well. Thanky P
