Anna - True perceptive eye-soul combine

I love that description and would have loved to be part of it. These kind of experiences are the only true moments of pure liberation. It is said that Rama Krishna received enlightenment when he saw white swans fly against a back-drop of a stormy sky. I have occasionally experienced such sights and they are breath- taking. Leonard

I knew someone would

I knew someone would understand, didn't know who... ;-) These moments are breath-taking and life-affirming. Pure essence. Much Love, Anna "There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic." Anais Nin

It’s funny how that works,

It's funny how that works, Richard. It was very early morning, but I didn't write the poem until much later, wrote the first lines, and then the last line just appeared. I know I am guided from somewhere that is beyond me. Love. ~A "There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. I like the grey wave you paint Anna

I have to do the whole thing over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh misery excuse me! Always copy them before previewing then you won't loose them!!!!!! I like the great wave you paint Anna and the tiny seagull beaneth it. I saw something just like that on Saturday when the great roll of BLACK-grey cloud above me resembled a ship and I was on the sea-bed beneath it, it is just such a sight that we feel we are here on earth to see, and when we do, we feel whole as Richard said. This great Galleon of the sky dominated the scene, beneath it there were the grey veils of graphite-like pencillings, the rain in little fans of slowly moving patterns, Thor was meditating on his next move. There were hidden rumblings, omens of the near future. On us the sun was shining hot. (I have photgraphs of it) And there in front of this darkness flew a lone seagull, seemingly oblivious of the danger. This makes me think of a haïku:- The sea darkens the cries of the seagulls are faintly white...............................Basho and one of mine:- Silhouette against the sky against the mountain a white bird......................................Ann In this case the light is in reverse. A lone seagull catches the wave..........tossed in the wave.......prey to the wave.........caught in the net of the wave..... of stormy sky (just having fun) You inspired me to write all this (TWICE-I don't remember the first but it was better put BLAST) I don't wish to spoil the mood I must get lost quickly I think. AND save this before it escapes me!!!!! Love to your inspiring vision Anna from Ann of Norway

Invitation to all to join,

Invitation to all to join, write or to read at poetry chaikhana. We often start with a haiku, a poem, and then birth more...recent examples: http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=9686 http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=9673 http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=9668 Ann of Norway, of course you know when you lose what you have written, the rewrite often is infinitely as good if not better. I walk along the shore a flock of seagulls join me, waves break the silence. Thank you for the memory, Ann. This happened last year by the shores of Lake Erie. My friend Roy just smiled. ~A p.a. *catch the wave* is a phrase in the States for surfers... "There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic." Anais Nin

Didn't know the surfing

phrase caching the wave, ooooo I would love to have done that once, when we were little my sister and I used to ride in on the breaking waves in Wales, my father was nearly winded that way, one had to quickly get up and dive into the next wave, or be sucked in and thrown down again, not a comfortable pass time unless in full control, just like the surfer. Ride the waves Anna with love in the wind from Ann of Norway

Seagull poem

K., When I read this, I felt you had put yourself into the eyes of a fish, which the gull can see from above water, and dive to catch. I've watched in amazement. It's a humbling meditation. Nice write, of course. wcw

Kailashana

the wave of stormy sky, fished from above. I have had the pleasure of soaring on waves within the sky, this line fished from above evokes for me the feeling one gets when gliding beneath a strong cumulus, fighting against the pull that wants to take you into its swirling heart. Craig
