The Life of a Quest

The life of a quest,

Makes for an interesting journey.

Travels in foriegn lands to magical places.

Mythical beings, and life's trials.

Creatures of the woods, and castles .

I can transform the landscape, to a sea of doubt,

And calm the raging waves of storm.

Plant the seed of an idea, and harvest a crop of food for thought.

The magnitude of this realm, I see... is endless.

Ever so gently treading , fields of flowers and butterflys.

Plodding desert sands, stomping off to war.

Drinking the dregs of humanity, with sharp fangs.

Flying high in wispy clouds shaped like otters,

And slaying dragons made of self loathing.

I have the company of elves and dwarves.

Queens and warrior princess, fair maids!

I have fellow soldiers, chewing licorice cigars.

There are talking dogs and hard nosed survivors of life.

No one is homeless here, everyone is fed.

The Blue halcyon stills the roughened oceans,

And Pixees flit through groves of po trees.

The' Watchers' look for rewards to bestow,

While word wizards weave spells of delight.

Some of my fellow travelers have too many toes,

I think it maybe from drinking tea in the looking glass.]

Some jump in the river of regret feet first,

And others try to bridge the gaps, with outstretched hands.

These are the things that make life in "Neopoet" such a joy!

Gee

YAY!!!!! What a nice little write! I liked the fantasy behind it, and the way that you wove a lot of people in. Nicely done. one little correction: foriegn -> foreign ~Jess K. ----------------------- "Flying so high, trying to remember How many cigarettes did I bring along? When I get down, I'll jump in a taxi-cab Driving through London-town to cry you a song..." - Jethro Tull

LOVE IT!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I love how you expressed everything with something else. I think this is very genius of you. I can feel this poem touch me. It is as if it were alive. Which this poem is! I loved it Geezer! It is a 5 star plus in my book other than that on boo boo. I pay no mind to that. I look at the meaning of the read and you passed in my book. Friends, Pixee

ah-hah!

Ah, Yes, dear friend. you've transcended me on this one. lots of nice little images placed here and there, a dash of mysticism and mythology, references to inside sources(such as members of Neo!) I looked for acrostics and patterns as well. An excellent write, good friend! Bryan
