A Day In New York
Crippled by a blatant sound
Of a New York City rush hour
The glistening sun watches over
A city lost in an addicting routine
That leaves no time for self-discovery
Energized by overpriced coffee
Sounds of disgruntled cab drivers
Can be heard throughout the city
Lost in the beauty of Broadway plays
Surrounded by tourists with cameras
Amazed by an adrenaline rush
That rattles one’s inner being
Surrounded by skyscrapers
Filled with breathtaking views
Tempted by the oven fresh pizza
Found in the streets of little Italy
Protected by lady liberty herself
Such beauty can only be found
In the streets of New York
Of a New York City rush hour
The glistening sun watches over
A city lost in an addicting routine
That leaves no time for self-discovery
Energized by overpriced coffee
Sounds of disgruntled cab drivers
Can be heard throughout the city
Lost in the beauty of Broadway plays
Surrounded by tourists with cameras
Amazed by an adrenaline rush
That rattles one’s inner being
Surrounded by skyscrapers
Filled with breathtaking views
Tempted by the oven fresh pizza
Found in the streets of little Italy
Protected by lady liberty herself
Such beauty can only be found
In the streets of New York
