DREAM

Could I have just one more please?
Another dream, sonnet, realm of
distant land?

I will pack my great-grandmother's
old Lady Boston,
as it has not seen much travel to any place
distant.

I'd love a thunderous train
with soft, leather seats, fine
china and a silver teaspoon
with the earl grey and butter
on a scone.

Any place would be fine
just as long as I am
away from routine and
the continuum of certainty.

I'd adore any view as long as the picture
is languid with flowers and butterflies
and woodsy chatter among the trees

Could I have just one more please?

Thank you

Just found this poem a couple of days ago.......it does need to be longer, but due to my brain block, cannot seem to get the words out. Dina Grey

I agree with fleur

how can you pack your great grandmothers Lady Boston, board the train, and leave us at the first station, Dina!! Train journeys are wonderful, more and more. Love. Craig
