A Few Off The Cuff From Tink's Chat, Titles w/o poems
Above All
I tried to do what's right
I did everything I could
A home, a car and luxuries
I gave you all my love
Each day it was a struggle
To keep you satisfied
And only those close to me
know the tears I've cried
Each day you grew more distant
Each night worse than the last
At times I must admit
I just hoped you'd pass
But I couldn't turn my back on you
For you had been my life
And now you are there
And it's time I said goodbye
Just remember dearest one
I loved you oh so much
And remember I will miss you
But I'll still struggle on
Above all don't forget
to carry my love with you
And if there's an afterlife
Give part to your mother too
Through the Clouds
Sometimes life's not easy
At times it's downright hard
And it can be a struggle
Just to mow your yard
But there is always laughter
If you try to only find it
And when you feel the laughter
You will know that you don't mind it
So laugh a little every day
Stand and laugh real loud
For if you find the joy inside
You can see through the clouds
On the Other Side
Looking through the mirror
At the other side of me
I can't help but feel the anger
Raging to be released
The good guy, everyones friend
With his opposite there beyond
Instead of kind and gentle ways
A maniac's at large
The door he batters down
Now everyone will pay
He grabs them by the hair
And drags them away
Tied to the bedframe
He lets them see the saw
Then he begins his work
Oh no, it ain't gonna be quick
my pretties
Should I start with the feet?
Oh yeah, that sounds delicious
The saw bites the bone
With a beautiful grating sound
Eyes closed in pleasure
at the screams rattling the windows
I lick my lips in anticipation
Halfway through the bone
I pause to bind the wounds
Wouldn't want you to
bleed to death darlings
I want this to last a long, long time...
Stormy Screams Muffled
Eye of newt and toe of bat
Tongue of frog and a pollywog
Wart of hog, eyelash of Camel
A beetles feeler as a lever
Stir it well and boil it down
Top with the ear of a clown
Serve it chilled over ice cream
With just a dollop of shattered dreams
Wait till they eat, then give the recipe
Then try to quieten the
Stormy muffled screams
Never know what you'll come up with when given a title to write a poem from.
