Half-mast Eyes

My mind races
like a rabbit on methamphetamine
Coherent thought
is a lost cause
Futile

Topics bore me to tears
as they offer
the truly philosophical questions
of where do I see myself in five years
and why I of all people am deserving of such a gift

Clickety-clickety click
goes the keyboard
Highlight
Erase
Repeat

My eyes are at half- mast
and for the first time
I ponder
on whether I truly need this
Scholarship....

Dear Jessica,

This cloth has a nice weight. I like the open descriptions. I like the style. The images are sharp and clear. Very Nice. Brian

Jess

I too wonder about those truly philosophical questions? So much BS now, it makes the Alaskan outback look mighty attractive. However, you probably could use the scholarship; so hang in there. By the way, I like the poem as a poem. I thought it worked well. Yours, Deelilah
