The Cushion Effect

I fell hard on my arse
damaged that spot
sitting hurts
it came as a surprise
falling hard on my arse

where's that cushion

those stairs hurt like hell
when I fell on my arse
ok I was a little drunk
or was it that gutter late last night
falling hard on my arse

where's the ice pack

my knees are wobbly
hope I don't fall flat on my arse
bum cheeks black and blue
can't walk too far
for my tail bone I cry
sorry for falling on my arse

where's the panadol

I fell on my arse
from a very high place
the world looks different
from where I sit
knock me down a peg or two
falling on my arse

feeling a little guttsy in the tummy
a shock to the stomach
when I fell on my arse...

Got to laugh

Many the time's Ive had a bruised arse. And I asked for this poem, n'est-ce pas? With the missing rhyme from Funny Drunk Stuff. Yet it reminds me of my when my father advocated going to church whether I believed or not saying "It does no-one any harm to get on their knees for a while once a week". It does us no harm to get knocked down a peg or two either. He was a bit wise sometimes, but you are wise and a poet. Cheers, Jess
