Time After Time (rewrite #3)

Time After Time  (rewritten June 17th 2009)
(for S. James)

Your soft grey-brown eyes laugh

chasing the icy fingers

of the dead of winter

from out my heart

while your warm even breath

sends silky shivers along my skin...

I sigh with the realization

that our years together

have been an odyssey spent in

the living knowledge

of each others inner beings

and I would stop time

in it's journey...

to preserve this one moment

through an eternity of night!

Cat, Marvelous

What did you think of my title? I love the title. How was my language use? I thought the language use was superb. What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing? It was very pleasing and read extremely well. How does this theme appeal to you? It appeals to me a lot as that is the way I feel about my wife of 34 years. How was the beginning/ending of the poem? Beginning/ending was very very good. Time after time, I read something of yours and cannot help but feel privileged! Respectfully, Rett: "God made an idiot for practice, then he made a school board." Hi Rett

Thirty-four years and still going strong! That is just wonderful! See what a difference the right person in your life can make. It isn't hard at all, just one day at a time with the right attitude. We treat each other with respect, kindness and understanding and it makes all the difference in the world. That is what love is. Thanks for your lovely review of my poem. Always, Cat
