Bed Unmade

A terrain
Wrinkled
Creased
Wriggled by fidgety feet
Bunched cotton
Folded layers of organic Damask or Dupioni
Woven threads from Dubai
One more luxurious than the other
Are simply left unmade
Faint imprints
Hidden secrets caught in fabric
Nights filled with propositions
Possibilities
Expected and unexpected struggles
The unmade is the unknown
A mess more perfect than army made
To hold a memory perhaps
Or a planned return
How interesting a photograph
Matte
Framed
Hung for interpretation of the unmade

Lovely, this caught me, this sentiment, yes there are things here that beat on my soul, the stuff in the background insinuated, not spoken, I think that is the poets gift very often. Well done. Oh little typo ("then" instead of "than"? about 3/4 dow the flow of the poem) Cheers~ Anni ~~~ "So often is the virgin sheet of paper more real than what one has to say, and so often one regrets having marred it." ~Harold Acton, Memoirs of an Aesthete, 1948
