The Eagle Has Landed

The Eagle has landedBut the programWas disbanded  Why did we go?For politicsAnd show

 There was no grand planJust political Grandstand

 When the last check was pennedOur dreams cameTo an end

 On this the fortieth yearAre we still ableTo conquer our fear?

Next time

you submit a poem make sure that you comment (and rate ) on at least three other works, so other people will learn about you. I go to the Lonely list and comment on about 3 to 5 poems each time I submit one. And for me at the moment that has been every day. It probably sounds excessive but I'm making new friends and discovering some great work and enjoying myself at the same time. :)fleur
