Summer Blues
Perfect
in my sandled shoes
I sing a sad song-
summer blues
we fan the flames
of the last bonfire
we sing our slow goodbyes
at summer's pyer
Sleep will not come
as we dine at the wake
lamenting the long lost sun
As our bodies intertwine
I listen to your heart sounds
Lulled by the beat
and California wine
