Dreaming Unicorns

Eves light standing
a wish made
the unicorn guardian
blessed be !
holding a babe

In cradled wing
and grasping mane
astride my friend
We morphed again

Up and out
through atmosphere
on my winged ride
and loyal seer

Taking a right
around the moon
to the universe
becoming attuned

Gathering speed
smearing starlight
A unicorns mist
across midnight

Easing to stretch
amongst her mane
twin spirits we ,
are bound remain

Shoot to naught
the empty blackness
my eternal night
comfortably endless

Shifting again
beauties wing-back
homeward bound
our newest tack

Spinning to light
connecting stars
my unicorns magic
flashed away mars

A pass ahead
try not to fight
closing my eyes
I dream the night

Jayne! This is a first for

Jayne! This is a first for me! a) of your work; b) of this "genre" of 'Magical/mythical' poetry. It is unique and quite astonishing. I am borne on the wings of this wonderous ride no less than Aladdin was! "Shifting again beauties wing-back.... my unicorns magic flashed away mars" As my teenagers would say "Have you ever?" My response in this case - "NO NEVER" Magnificient! THank you for the magic! (I'm such a realist - it was a nice break!) Bonita j

In a comment to me the other day she said we should keep wishing for the unicorns to come back , so I wished this poem i guess and here it is ... I love anything mythical I love that world they take us to ... from this exsistance ... I so love mystery, the mysteries of the world? I try to bring them to my scribbles, so glad you enjoyed this one I wrote it after a comment by FaeryBeki , she said something along the lines of , if we keep wishing the unicorns will come back , but being a dreamer I dreamed some for her instead LOL ... Jayne, here I was, wondering how I was ever to catch up with all the posts you've made while I was away (had a fab time, thanks for asking ;)) and out jumped this lovely piece!! :) that I inspired it in anyway is an honour for me, thank you lovely! I love it Jayne, the rhyme really adds to the magic, and you have woven this ride fantastically!
