Cannibalism

Meet. Greet. Kill. Repeat.
I’ve worked hard to achieve this feat
Worked hard catch every single beat
And they told me I was wrong to eat meat
At least I ate what I could swallow
At least I did my wrongs in open
I am man enough to accept my faults
At least I’m man enough to own up to them

They called me a cannibal, called me insufferable
They said god hates me and I would rot in hell
And they attempt to kill me in the shadows
I still exist. I am strong. I WILL subsist
I’m learning hard to be this way
Learning to tear you apart
Meet. Greet. Kill. Repeat.
I've learnt to master this art

Hello

The beginning and ending are fine, as the poem comes full circle. I like that there is no apology for being yourself. The ignorance of the people who tell you that you will burn in hell is astounding. I like the poem. Always, Cat
