I walk in shadows

I walk in the shadows, for i despise the light
I much prefer  the comfort of night
When out out in the sun, i am forced to see
That a suffering doom is waiting  for me
But in the blanket of midnight that's all covered
You see not all the doom to be discovered
Yes night  seduces  me with promises
                                      She can not keep
But i will let her fool me for the pain is to deep
The velvet blue of  twilight  engulfs me with   care
The danger of dawn, i refuse to dare
I dance in the shadows, for there i feel no shame
loneliness is my purpose, desperation is my name
Yes i will remain in the shadows, for they know
Me well, and because the break of day
                                      Will drag me to hell.

It’s a great piece

It's a great piece you've got here, knitted and woven with our daily aspects of life. But i must suggest this---yes the light causes us to see things that might hurt us, but in the dark night--sleeping--dreaming--it's all good in there and there's no place like sleep, it's the twin of death. But in there(dark) there's nothing--it's void, we can not learn, we can not know all there's for us to know unless we come to the light and face the challenges that God has given to us to master. Just my thoughts, but really i do have enjoyed ur poem Respectfully paparazii

Thank you

I wrote this during a difficult time of my life. i is how i felt at the time. But with the love of God and constant prayer to Him. i began to love the light again. However as with everything that has happened in my life, I embrace these feeling, even though i no longer feel them because they make up who iwas, and who i am. Thankyou for your comments they are always welcome.
