Summer rain
SUMMER RAIN
Big blobs of summer rain
Racing down my window pain
Drenching flowers in their beds
A happy crowd nodding heads
Soaking through and quenching roots
Awakening dormant seedpod shoots
Tapping on earths crusted floor
Inviting earth worms to explore
Splashing children in their boots
Soaking gentlemen in their suits
Polishing foliage like a duster
Wetted leaves renew a-lustre
Bombing beetles in armoured suits
Well-armed soldiers, efficient troops
Creating rainbows in earths dome
A dazzling setting for our home
Globules of moisture heaven sent
A stunning landscape to invent
