Night Bridge

Gradual descent
night moves in waves
lapping
engulfing
swallowing down
light of day

Darkness
regurgitates
into consciousness
what remained
of clarity
once daylight went

Nightfall
drives the leaning
to reflect
analyze
harbor regret
the day's passed

Undo damage
done of hasty
action
promises
resolute
come morrow

Drink to its
arrival
like clockwork
linger til lulled
to sleep
dreamt anew

Thank you Karen

I read your profile. I just want to share this with you: There are no wrong things, but thinking makes it so... Shakespear Drop in anytime. Sincerely, Rick Lambert
