THE INNER LAND
The monolythic man's no more,
his soiled, stolid footprints squandered at her door.
In her mind "Ozymandias" - still stands
now powerless to penetrate her mind -
the inner land.
His face became fallen,
his feet were trapped -
The visage no longer vested
Its rabed ravishment sapped!
He never raped her of dignity, she gave that away.
Desperate for his presence she
contined to stay...
giving of love's worthy deeds - now forever gone astray.
She finally realized: "The hand that mocked them and
the heart that fed"
No longer punished her psyche
or fill her gladdened heart with dread.
