Winters child
Mother winter, heavy with child.Gives birth to soft progenyBlown by winds wild. Empty womb in the palm of earth’s handThe child is abandonedTo cover the land. Glistening white virgin daughter.A shimmering gownOf crystallised water. Loudly heralded by black bird alarms.Perfected and wooedBy natures charms. Powerful elements stand aside.Quiet eerie silenceFor the beautiful bride. Radiant beauty for all to see.She kisses the earthHer husband to be.
