The Beach

Soft golden sand

Lines  the beach

like a carpet

It is soft and warm to walk on

pretty  sea shells lay scattered

creating  a beautiful pattern on the beach

the calm  blue water of the ocean

sparkles, like diamonds in the  midday sun

a peaceful noise comes from the waves that  gently roll onto the sand

palm trees and coconut trees

are gently swaying ,from  the warm  breeze that blows through the air

 a crab, moving quickly,

heads towards a   rock pool

which sits at the water's edge

here,  paradise, reign's with it's beauty

Morgana Tragic…

Hey Karen,

I really liked this poem, I was born by the oceam, and though I'm a good distance from it now, I miss it very much. It's my home, and I'm hoping to move back out to Vancouver after college (4 years!!!!). And as a ocean poem, it has some resonating images, the blue green waters, the glittering sea shells, just amazing. You really bring these images out and I can picture my favorite spot on a beach somewhere...thanks for that. Peace n Love Katie
