The spiral fluidity of words

Engage me
I hunger for connection
Touch
A simple word of strong addiction
Dripping with the sweetness of desire and fulfilment
Words are stronger still
I see it clearer now
Draw me in and bind me
Spell wound in the spiral fluidity of word connections
                   Space
    and
                               ….. pause
Rhythm
Tapping of the consonants
Hollows of the vowels
Rounded and resonating
Leaving you echoing in my psyche
Haunted superbly by all of you
Who bath me daily from your wonderful minds
Flavoured and scented by the continents and traditions of your history
By your passions and distinctions
A story
A flare of lust
A droplet of epiphanic clarity
A faint whisper of hope or illusion
Disappointment
Darkness
Adventure
In the heat these small words demand
The flame of what must be expressed
Candle calm
Or raging wild blaze
Pushing to be freed upon the pen/paper/puter
Like a sigh into the ether
Sent
For me
A divine gift
I peel each word
Reverently
With retina and synapse
From the glowing screen
My sustenance and joy
I drink and quest
And lay naked in the light of honesty and courage
And here I blossom into the open arms of another perspective
Another dream
Another expression
Another blessing I am kissed with
Thank you for sharing

Then again I feel blessed as I always DO to find your words addressed to me, they are always wonderful & usually surprising, containing a wonderland of some sweetness or contemplative element to ponder. So I thank you from my heart, & offer this poem to you as one of my favourites of course. xxx~ Anni ~~~ "Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything." -Anon

A small offering of gratitude only Brian, for the very precious gifts of reading the work (& comments) you offer here, among the other varied & lovely writers I am priveledged to read. Yes, comforted in a way I never expected to be, fed & completed in a way I would not know could be experienced for the solitary wildnerness of writing that existed until recently inside me. I have found a home & connection here that I never had for this expression. The encouragement & sophistry I find here reaches a place I never even enetertained could be shared or known, & whilst in many ways it will always be solitary, must be, it now has a freedom & respite, the comfort (as you say) of kindred here. Thank you, especially. I have for many years felt blessed with good people & friends around me. Here I am beginning to gather a community of very specific connections that, without meeting, have access to a deep level within my vulnerability & yet I feel safe & cared for. It is easy to be generous here, & you are so generous with me, I wish I could offer something in return. I have only my gratitude & my desire to paint with the colours & perspectives you particularly add to my palette with your feedback & inspiration. xx~ Anni ~~~ "Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything." -Anon

A remembrance of a parochial schoolchild, now grown

"Where there is charity and wisdom, there is neither fear nor ignorance." --St. Francis of Assisi As for the poem, I've nothing to suggest. It's beautiful. My favorite lines: Tapping of the consonants Hollows of the vowels Rounded and resonating Leaving you echoing in my psyche This reminds me of one of my favorite photos of my childhood idol. I'll see if I can change my avatar to show it.

AND, my darling Beki, this is a reciprocal deal, how fantistic huh. We mirror each other, I love these things in you as well... & as Anna suggests, what more could we offer those we love... How odd to have come to love people I have never met & may never meet, who's lives exist so far from my own & are disperate & varied on so many levels & yet I find you so constantly in my heart... You have all become my beloved indeed. How lucky I am to have that in my life~ Anni ~~~ "Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything." -Anon

YES! fantastic hon, we're all lucky, know so what you mean about the love hon and this place and these people being in your heart, I thought of you often babe whilst we were extracting honey the other day, so in a way it was like you were there, odd but not odd to have come to feel this way of many poets here, the connections seem instant almost and extremely deep. Hope you had another lovely weekend with your otters Anni, much love b xxx

Honey bees, lovely things, sweet & good just like you!

Ahhh HONEY BEES! Poor babies, I never felt comfortable plundering their honey, they slave so much to create it... & they were always so long suffering & patient, no complaint, they would just begin again, I felt awful for them. I'm glad you thought of me, I do love those wee buzzing things, so unassuming & brave. Love ya gorgeous girl... better get my boy ready for bed. Lots of love xxx~ Anni ~~~ "Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything." -Anon
