good morning!

a man can only take so much
before he's taken down
arms quake from all the weight
of waiting for tomorrow's dough
up at dawn and shave the face
get dressed, get out and race the race
arms quake from all the weight
spilling things, filling things
after work spots, filling things
late night insomnia, turn on tv
spilling things, filling things
rain coming tomorrow, puddles starting
up at dawn and shave the face
bring the umbrella, wear the boots
get to end of the day, take off boots
late night insomnia, turn on tv
dinner plate with sauce stains stuck
morning reminder of empty bottle
spilled things, unfulfilled things
a man can only take so much
before he's taken down.
