The Value of Today

It's really been quite a day
that'll go down in the Book of Ages,

one full of examples and lessons
one that'll fill up all the pages.

The afternoon was relaxing
the morning set the evening's tone,

we friends sat around and visited
it was sure better than being alone.

In the evening I satisfied my palate
the melody lingers on in my mind,

and as evening turned into the night
the value of friendships truly do bind.

It really was quite a week
making memories with both highs and lows,

and collectively we've drawn up a "blueprint"...
that'll guide us through all our tomorrows.

Really like this doc,

Some suggestions You don't need the bold on really, the word means in bold it was sure better than being alone. could be stronger, perhaps something like a world away from being alone. the melody lingers on in my mind, consider losing on the melody lingers in my mind, and as evening turned into the night the value of friendships truly do bind. consider and as evening turned to night the value of friendships truly did bind. and collectively we’ve drawn up a “blueprint”… that’ll guide us through all our tomorrows. consider and together we’ve drawn a blueprint that’ll guide us through all our tomorrows. Not being didactic here, just hope you find something of value in my suggestions, did love the poem. cheers, Jess Forever unwrapping the eternal present.
