FADED BLUE CURTAINS

FADED BLUE CURTAINS

Those old blue curtains
Hung  in the window
They were faded  , tried  and old
So many of day s
Keeping out the cold

But , standing  upright
The crease in it’s purpose
Still sharp
Still true
Those  faded old curtains
Kept all safe from view

Things  made by pride
Valuables , and  some secrets
Clover in the  of dust of time

The pains and the joys
Along with the history
Of ,  a cry,
Blended Laughter
 Made into a lie

Yes those tried blue curtain
Kept all safe
As it divided in two
The ways
Of safety  from the sadness of plight

Always pulled  together
Locked into place
A shield  against
The outer plight
So  secrets are safe

Always true
Dividing the  secrets
From the truth

A truth never will know
 As  the days pass
And that blue is more
Faded  than old

A curtain
Is just a shield
But the truth
With need that curtain
To give
All secrets unlocked
Still safe standing tall
Faded but straighter
Without a lost

did you mean loss in the last sentence? The title of your poem drew me in (excellent) and the body of the poem did not disappoint me Chrys
