Leonard...

I too feel art is something uncontrollable, at least to the artist... they have to draw, write, paint, sculpt, create and play the golden lyre... they are most certainly part of the universal plan for the beauty shown to all... I saw a documentary on Alice Neel the other day. She was an American painter, mostly did portraits and went virtually unappreciated for much of her time... because during her time the abstract took over the art world... Photography left little need for portraits... but she never quit. She was very good and was finally noticed while still alive and interviewed... But she told of how she would buy paints and canvas instead of new clothes... and how there were always other things she should be doing, but the brush called her constantly... I felt so in tune with her calling... if you get a chance to look at any of her works, check out the eyes of her subjects... amazing! Richard

And even poetry is governed by that ancient inherent will, flowing to a drum beat thats insistent at times and quieter at others. This is a lovely poem Leonard. Cheers Tania

Thank you Tania

You are absolutely right and it is only when we dance to the drum beat will be churn out the real stuff. Leonard
