Happy Birthday Sister Stephanie

To one of my five sisses,

I send love and lots of kisses.

I haven't lots of money,

or things of which to boast.

But I have a sis,

who means to me the most.

She is one of five of mine,

[I really love them all]

She's just the one,

I'm closest to,the one that I can call.

The others know I love them,

and I know of me they're fond.

But,her and I, we share,

a very special bond.

I don't know how it happened,

the why or even when.

She just grew on me,as she grew,

it's beyond my ken.

So my little sister,

If I have my way,

you will have the happiest,

of a happy,Happy Birthday!

How wonderful, just the best poem any one would want on their birthday. You are a wonderful brother, wished I would get something like that from my siblings. Guess now I'm a bit jealous of Stephanie. Excellent Fleur

Happy Birthday Sister

Thank you for the kind comments. My sis has done many nice things for me over the years,and I am trying to thank her for being my sis. She has a very full life,with a job,a teen-daughter,and our mother living with her family. Almost all parties are held at their place because it is the biggest,and she manages to still have time for scores of other things too numerous to mention. She deserves all the praise and recognition I can give her. Gee.

How lovely to get a poem for your birthday from you, you good and kind brother, Stephanie is lucky to have you as you are obviously lucky to have her. My sister has written two poems to me on two birthdays and I have also written poems for her, they are not SUCH good poetry but have many of her traits that describe her. I wrote one for my sister's husband last and my friend said what a lovely idea writing a poem as a birthday present, what more could one wish for. Yours is specially good Geezer, Yours Ann of Norway

Thank you Ann,O'Queen. I guess you know then of where I speak,I really want to let her know how much I appreciate her. She is [I know you are not supposed to,but...]my favorite. We were close when she...I was young. We were from different fathers,and I have two other sisters who born from the same father as I and about eight and ten yrs.older than Stephanie. She is the oldest of the younger three. Does that make sense? Anyways, somehow,she became the closest of the younger ones! I love the way she manages to always find time for me,and really appreciate her. Gee.

Joining the chorus....

So glad to have a chorus here for her, that is what she needs. Someone to sing her praises and tell the world what a wonderful person she is. She takes time from her busy life to call me,and tell me happy birthday,and last year, gave me one of the biggest surprises I have ever had in my life! She got together with the rest of my sisters,and bought a round trip ticket for my grown son of my first marriage,[whom I haven't seen in 25yrs]and brought him here to N.Y. from Colorado,for my birthday last yr.! All my sisters are awesome and I will have to find special poems from my heart for them. Thank you,Julie and all,for the kind words and comments for this poem. Gee.
