Behind the Curtain
My name is Nemisis
Goddess of retribution.
My sisters,
Phoebe; Selene
Goddess of the moon
Helia; Alectrona
Goddess of the sun.
My name is Occlo Huaco
Goddes of the Moon,
Spinner,
Water walker.
My brother, Maco Huapo,
Holder of the gold rod
And God of the sun,
Breather
Teacher.
Show me what you will,
Hold out your hand
My serpent drinks from the water
Your eyes hold
Because the brother of the moon,
Poseidon, Neptune
Gave you the ocean's eyes.
Look at me
My hammer strikes the mountain,
Crash the clouds,
Sound the horn,
Thor, My Odin,
Bring the blackbirds,
To guard my Asgaard
Tricks give me my strength.
Clear the mist
Forgive their sins
Can't expect perfection
Pristine dreams
Come nightly
My serpent glides through,
Travels beside you-
Water walker.
Ripples of confusion, glances of question,
The glide is broken,
But not unforgivingly.
Gold eyes search the plain ground,
The rod falls from his hands,
To the floor
Where it lays buried.
My empire... my empire?
Hello, hello, hello.
Goddess of retribution.
My sisters,
Phoebe; Selene
Goddess of the moon
Helia; Alectrona
Goddess of the sun.
