Alone Again
I'm alone in this room
alone with my thoughts
whatever will become of me
I walk the streets alone
with thoughts of being with friends
going to the movies or the theatre
with someone apart from myself
walking in the park
the trees have many a story to tell
they know of lonely people
who come here to look for someone
or of people with many friends
who come here to be alone
I had many a friend
but now i sit alone in remorse
of dreaming of friends again
going to a party meeting more friends
now I drink alone in this room
I use to buy things for my friends
now I buy things for myself
books and books to keep me company
to help the time pass
from being alone
I dream of being in company
but all my dreams end up alone
with me in this room.
alone with my thoughts
whatever will become of me
I walk the streets alone
with thoughts of being with friends
going to the movies or the theatre
with someone apart from myself
walking in the park
the trees have many a story to tell
they know of lonely people
who come here to look for someone
or of people with many friends
who come here to be alone
I had many a friend
but now i sit alone in remorse
of dreaming of friends again
going to a party meeting more friends
now I drink alone in this room
I use to buy things for my friends
now I buy things for myself
books and books to keep me company
to help the time pass
from being alone
I dream of being in company
but all my dreams end up alone
with me in this room.
