no hurry

Don't ask on my account--

I have seen eyes like the slurping

clocks of lizards sleeping

happily in a blazing moment.

Also, the innocent withered

prunes from screams of wolves

called human.  Again, though,

don't ask on my account,

I know You.

Hopefully You

know me.

very personal. come to think of it i have never read a poem about trust, maybe trust toward a lover, but never specifically about trust itself. i liked reading this.

Are we above suspicion?

However slight we feel betrayed. Is our caution suspect? will we ever ask, do you "take my word for this", is hesitation a positive intepretation. As Lizards sleep.. and wolves howl.. have we any real options? In ink, Dabbler ps I find that those who avow great trust in others, are trice as likely to be betrayers.

we are

most certainly not! But these questions will be inevitable at times if we are honest with ourselves. GB!
