Crimson Rapture Pt I: Sweet Crimson Dream

He wakes from his dream in a sweat
Feeling it pool at the base of his neck
Rationalizing why end this great dream
Wonders in earnest if she’s really real.
The passions of last night still trickle slow
But why do they run just out of his neck?
Removing his covers, he gets up to shave
Lost in the mysteries of this great dream.
Lathering down, he looks in the mirror
In shock to see that nobody’s there
Panic betrays him, he turns the lights on
That’s when he sees that his sweat’s really blood.
Explaining punctures gashed into his neck
Memories hit him from last nights vision.
Passionate crimson floods over his bed
Blood devoured by this mystic vixen.

Memories not his pervade his sweet dream
Recalling a past of somebody else
Mixed with the passions obviously real
His dream trickles slowly in crimson red
The night before vividly clear.
Clad in black leather, voluptuous curves
Stilettos clicking, caress the stones gliding
A rhythmic pulse in tune with his heartbeat
Madonna of darkness enraptures his soul
Scents of her vintage tempt him to follow
Lusciousness wrapped by black leather shroud.
This temptress aware of her prey’s intents
Illustriously displays fullness of breasts
Behind skin tight corset, drawing him near
The scent of his passion feeding her greed
She bites bottom lip to make it bleed.

As she drinks her blood, his starts to boil
Scent of her blood entices his senses.
Unable to resist passion’s alarm
He lustfully takes her, drinks her sweet crimson
As he grabs her ass and takes his prize home
Her feline grin stifled, she’s won her prey.
Unknown to him, he thinks he’s her captor
Reality is, he’s just now been captured.
As they approach his front door impatient
His eagerness betrayed by the shake of his hands.
Inserting the key impatiently held
Their passion grips them before the door opens
Embraced by each other in heated lust
Her insatiable hunger heating her blood fire
Consuming his soul, entranced by her spell
They take each other in crimson rapture.

Mike

Very good. I would break up the formatting a little, just so that it doesn't seem as inundating, but then again, that's just me. Welcome to the site - look forward to more of your work. hmm Mwrigas

I beleve quite a bit of work went into this poetry. You need know vampire poetry is not my cup of tea so I will stay away from the content here. Not sure about really real maybe just real will work ? I would try and find another word for great but that is me :) I would take out That's. The memories line is a bit confusing for me. I think it would me more effective if that second part were in the past tense and the third as well. I'm saving this to come back if you update. Best of luck with it for now, Mark Trust is a secret that never comes home.

Hey mwrigas

Hey there new facebook buddy! I should add you to my friends list here on Neo too lol. Anyhoo, like I said before, I'm really into dark kinda stuff these days, this was really kool. I'm not terribly into vampires, but I've readsome great vampire poems here! This is one of them. Great job. I like how it poetically tells a story, though you might consider maybe breaking it up into more verses, may be make it 4 verses instead of two, get the flow of it going? Just a suggestion. Otherwise I loved it. Peace N Love Katie
