No One Heard

I am alone I said No one heard Not even my bed Ten thousand people on the street I know no one Nobody to greet I am alone I said No one heard Lonely empty bed Crumpled pillow sweat stained sheet I am alone No one to meet I am alone I said No one heard No letter read No tears left in my eyes so red I am alone Loneliness instead I am alone so alone No one heard No mail, no phone No one there to comfort me I am alone Solitude my destiny I am an island........I am alone.......I am alone

Claudiia

Thank you. Sometimes a person is surrounded by other people, just as an island is surrounded by water, and they are alone and remote. I think that everyone who has loved and lost have felt this way. Warm regards Baz

I am an island

Hi Claudia Yes I am surrounded by a sea of faces, I am a island. I live in Bangkok and it would be so easy to buy superficial affection, but it is not the same as listening to a loved one softly breathing as she sleeps next to you. Love is like a coin, on one face there is love, on the other there is hate. Sometimes when you toss the coin it comes down on the hate side. Sometimes life sucks! Regards Barry

How I Felt This

Hi Baz, Just wanted to tell you that I really liked your poem... How I felt every line... Touched me, for I know these feelings, you described them so well. Nicely written. Best wishes, Wafi

Wafi

Hi Wafi In this instance I wrote from personal experience, looks like you also have had this experience? I do not consider myself as a good poet, but when I write I try to have a storyboard; emotion and rhyme. Mostly I fail! Thank you for you comments. Regards Baz

Yeah Baz

Yeah Baz, I have felt these feelings so many times in my life. I really liked the example of island surrounded by water. Thousands of people are there around us but what? They can't get us rid of our loneliness as their company is of no use. I have written some poems about the feelings of lonliness too. One of them I have posted on this site, will be glad if you take a look, here http://www.neopoet.com/node/15603 I would like to share one of my other,(subject a little different then yours) with you here, just for the sake of sharing... Loneliness hurts But what to do The company of Someone Other than you Also pains me... Now that You are away M ok being sad Being alone In tears Like a fading mirror Longing for you... Than to be with Somebody other than you... Sincerely, Wafi

Good poem here Baz

Out on the Welsh hills one is alone too, and yet one never is alone somehow we have ourselves to communicate with and there if we listen hard we find a partner in the silence, ourselves. But if it is because you have lost someone then you feel the blank wall of loneliness stronger, yes I see. Yours Ann of Norway

Hi Baz good poem on a similar vein to the one i wrote. Yes its strange how being alone can effect our emotions. Where as choosing to be alone effects us in a lesser manner. Anyway good poem. kind regards Al.
