Naked Ravens
perhaps we were ravens once,
sleek ebon feathers
piercing
rainbows of indifference,
remember?
we listened to samurai swords
clashing and splitting
through the aphonic darkness,
gathering fin and wing
around us
we watch smoldering embers
slowly dying
we fall from the sky
silently drawn to the earth below
