The Country River
the river is wide and shallow,
flowing at a gentle pace,
and within the river
lie large rocks,
which form a crooked path
a weeping willow
stooped over the water
gently dangles it’s branches
whilst swaying in a breeze
small fish can be seen swimming
as they go in and out from the reeds
that grow along the bank
this is a place where
tranquillity reigns
this is a place to dream
it is a place to relax
