Destiny’s Child

Destiny’s Child

Cool morning air wafting through the trees
Water droplets sparkling, body built for fun
She bathes in the cold mountain stream
Crinkled nipples brushed by the morning sun

Basking in the sensuous pleasure of health
Aware of each lithe movement she makes
Shivers of eagerness ripple across her frame
Aching with each pleasured breath she takes

Sensuously she climbs the bank of the stream
Caressingly she dries the thick, black hair
As she prepares to meet the day head on
Until, with unbridled regret, she leaves there

She bursts upon the world with passion in her eyes
Sometimes she is wanton; always she is wild
She lives life to its fullest; takes pleasure in pursuit
Leaving the world breathless, she’s Destiny’s child

Oops!

Better fix that it's. Should be its. The spelled it's contracts for it is. Its is possessive spelling. I think you mean lives life to life's fullest. I think you don't mean lives life to it is fullest. A delightful piece. Thanx, Chuck

Rett, you have brought me another delectable picture of the woman of your dreams. you can and do write serious stuff. You just have to be in the right frame of mind. Guess I know where you were when you wrote this. Gee.

Yep, I was off in la la land when I wrote this. Thinking about a gal I met in the late 60's when hitching across southern Mississippi. Was camping beside a creek and woke up one morning to find this young lady bathing there. She had camped just beyond me that evening. Ah well, even then there were sweet moments. Glad you liked it sir. Respectfully, Rett: "God made an idiot for practice, then he made a school board." Mark Twain For the sake of children, read this. http://www.neopoet.com/node/19905

"You are my destiny"

An Italian boy I once met in a train in 1957 sang this to me as I sat with wide eyes looking up at his young handsome youthfulness, I was 17 and found that this boy couldn't speak any English BUT he could quote the songs, perhaps without even knowing what it was that he sung!!! We conversed in song titles, I was being careful not to lead him on as I was alone and vulnerable and when my station came made off as fast as I could! Yours is a young lady, it sounds a little as if you wished she HAD been your destiny too! I wonder who she was destined for? This is a classic scene from well known paintings to descriptions in novels and will forever fascinate young men. As they watch young women move there is something beautiful in the movements of the human body, just like watching my Siamese cat slowly approaching its prey, such subtle sensuous majesty, wonderful. Your little maid Destiny is everywhere, and you have found yours I know. And this poem is partly in praise of her is it not? Yours respectfully Ann of Norway

Ahhhh Ann

Yes, I found my Destiny after a false start that ended two and a half years later. I've been with her for 34 going on 35 years now. Funny thing is, her hair turned red. *G* I traveled a lot throughout the south in my teens with many adventures. Some were good, many were bad. Getting mugged and thrown in a dumpster to die wasn't one of the good ones, but taught me to survey the territory and develop eyes in the back of my head. (of course the hair still gets in them. *L*) You are correct though, something about the female body lends itself to beauty of motion no matter how simple the task. As far as whoever she was destined for, he most likely had a strenuous time of it. *G* Thanks for the read and the nice comments my friend. Blanca, Thank you

I am sorry for taking so long to reply. I have been very busy lately. I appreciate it. Being part Native American I quite understand the beauty that was before, but I also appreciate the now also. The big drawback to before was so much disease and death that couldn't be prevented. On the plus, the air was cleaner most places. Thank you. First time I ever laid eyes on a naked woman, she was bathing in a Highland stream up above the trailer that we lived in. Every movement was fascinating. I had never ever seen anything more beautiful in my life... ...and still haven't found anything more lovely than a woman! An excellent write.
