Natures Hieroglyphs

  "NATURE'S HIEROGLYPHS"

The heiroglyphs of Nature are there for all to read

Its the lucky one's I guess that want to stop and heed

The ever changing patterns of the unwritten creed

A metaphysical system for the artists when they need

Inspirations store a never ending screed

She writes on every stone and tree so heed

Or blind-sight you will have and you will bleed

For sorrow is not here 'tis joy that is the seed

And tomorrows not an issue, that' s just greed

Today is full of beauty, the beauty of the weed

That flowers along the edges of the river, its a reed

So thin and tall and swaying in the whim of every breeze

While the writing in the sky is formed by all the trees.

my dear Ann of Norway,

this one caught my attention. I am doing an analysis of a mayan stela and am sinking deeper and deeper into this wonderful world of the gods. it is all so mystical, I feel this world is drawing me in. so, I was delighted to see that you have the hieroglyphs metaphor up there and even more delighted to see the challenge you have put yourself to. making every ending word rhyme? phew! what a task. you fit them together so nicely, my queen of nature. your Proprietress

Oh Kata aren't they wonderful

Those hieroglyphs of the Maya. We were in Tikal and saw a number of them but that was before 'they' had deciphered the code -all the culture is so very fascinating isn't it. Yes it was an experience to be there in the jungle and see all those jungle-grown temples high above the tree canopy, hearing all the while the screaming apes who sat up in their trees laughing at us. What a special atmosphere there was there. Do tell me about your studies if anything is easy to post as I AM truly interested in them. We have written articles for magazines about them, but that was a while ago now!!! Thank you for enjoying my poem and thank to to the other comments. Yours as ever Kata from Ann of Norway
