GOLD EYES

GOLD EYES

Eye’s protect me
Give me site
To walk a road

Blended  with the mixtures of
Gold
And the silver of life

Is gold
Beyond  my truth
It shines with
Status  and riches
If I pay for happiness
It should have
 No use

The brightness
The gleam
A closer look at gold
 Is what I need

I looked  closer at gold
As it lay
With the brightness of value
And the respect of  its gleam

So to bond as gold
The status the value
And the gleam
Was I putting a limit
On all that I can be

So silver
Reflected it self  to me
Without the values
Of pride without the status
Of Insecurity

Silver is less than gold
Less in status
But used more by all

Silver and gold
A value
A dream
All that shine
With value
Chose  carefully

dialect may be ok

some may frown on dialect tripped into the words of poetry, some may like it. I like this in general press. I have a bit of a problem with the last line as it seems preachy or like advice - a sort of afterthought statement there in that last line (if you will) Joy and Peace, Mark
