Amazing Maisie

"Amazing Maisie" Marion Agnes Young (Harvey) August 1995

Amazing Maisie

Bright as a daisy

Heavenly blue

Is her favourite hue

Called Baby May

August her month

She boldly dared

When her sisters were scared

Her father a fiddler

A golfer, a fisher

A lover of nature

A mathematician

Her mother a teacher

In Edinburgh town

With tea always ready

With cakes to go round

Dressed so well

In designs of her own

She stunned all her suitors

A band of fine men

Maisie loves nature

With her dad she would roam

Then Roland took over

And built her a home

A good cook was mum

And when we went far

Prepared were the goodies

We liked best of all

At dawn the food ready

To school we would go

Well fed as any

No excuse to be slow

Giving and loving

As kind as they come

We raise our caps high

To an amazing mum

Not very good poetry but I tried. have a wonderful day and a happy "nineties." The sun will shine, the stars too, all the world will glow on your 90th birthday 1995.

Thank you for being you, Love Ann.

Ann

As the morrow, is the aniverary of my Mother going to spirit, this one shone for a lot of Mothers, thank you for posting it. The eternal love that we have for our parents can never be changed as it is fixed at birth before we become singular. Yours Ian.T
