Breeze a Crowd

In the land of the California high desert void,
which happened to receive this moniker from folks avoiding it,
I notice how rich it is, what with all of it's emptiness and splendor;

and to assist the thermometer in assessing the excitement of the day,
the weeds begin loosening themselves and begin to tumble along...
probably to their own song, in an attempt to find a place to finally rest.

I am, however...positively sure that one of my theories is as true
as this arid climate can, and will...completely destroy any dog's ambition,
remove from their eyes life, and steal the energy it takes to tail-wag.

This battle, with the mercury can also siphon the bark right out of these wagless dog's throats !
However, my theory is simple. In this heat, these adventuresome weeds,
should never have left the safety of their footholds, to search for another resting place, to begin with.

Unless, however...their purposely embarking on a journey to see more of the desert.
That has to be it ! These tumbleweeds as they're called, are embarking on adventures courtesy of the wind.
Because of course, everyone knows that old saying's true....."you can't see the desert for the breeze".

A lovely little fun piece, that made me not only smile but also think of the wastelands as you call them over there, I would think that with such a vast technology the USA could recapture a lot of this great land mass to the benifit of their people, I often wonder where all those super houses will be built when the sea has reclaimed the land the present ones are sat on, Just a Bad thought La La, Yours,Ian.T

Well, they do say....

..."misery loves company". L.o.l.! All seriousness aside...welcome aboard ! Funny you should mention that, because Mr. Trump has purchased quite a few acres of "prime void", to build what he calls a Convention Centre. It'll be in the middle of nowhere, but freeway close, he purchased it "dirt cheap", and it's about 2 1/2 hours from Las Vegas !Great minds tend to think alike, eh Ian ? L.o.l.! I've been waiting for him to start production, but he seems to only succeed in making me impatient. You see, I am a Painter besides being a musician. I guess the saying rings true...I would've REALLY been a Doctor, if I had the "patients" ! L.o.l., again ! Take care, Ian... Write on, #{:>{)]@==== doc maverick.
