Ail to Thee
What ails thee?
just exactly what is it
that's impeding your day?
Hath ye traveled
a grade uphill?
One that needed not climbing, anyway?
What is ailing thee?
The company that ye keeps?
Or are ye upset about the thorns on the rose?
Maybe ''tis a physical thing
if it truly be thy health,
for to all it surely shows.
Now what concerns thee?
Is it out of thy control and that frustrates thee?
Your control ends at what you alone do.
People, places and things
are completely out of thy realm,
the ones that realize this are in a club of very few.
What ails thee?
Is it that thou canst navigate
through the maddening crowd?
Thou shouldst remember,
that fragmented complaints
shouldst not be spoken aloud.
just exactly what is it
that's impeding your day?
Hath ye traveled
a grade uphill?
One that needed not climbing, anyway?
What is ailing thee?
The company that ye keeps?
Or are ye upset about the thorns on the rose?
Maybe ''tis a physical thing
if it truly be thy health,
for to all it surely shows.
Now what concerns thee?
Is it out of thy control and that frustrates thee?
Your control ends at what you alone do.
People, places and things
are completely out of thy realm,
the ones that realize this are in a club of very few.
What ails thee?
Is it that thou canst navigate
through the maddening crowd?
Thou shouldst remember,
that fragmented complaints
shouldst not be spoken aloud.
