depraved indifference

Iindifference
burns holes
in my back
I once had wings,
once I soared

there are stars in the lupine night,
I am woven like a fly
hissing in its spell,

I once hungered for your touch
and vomit with contentment,
without,
I look at youdisgusted with myself,

petals of guilt and

shards of us,
lying all around

May is a lavender Peruvian Lily...

our son bows in prayer,
sanctuary was never home.

depraved.....poem

K, Here you have a short, stinging write, that shows as much by it's design, as by it's words. A poetic stab at "depraved indifference". wcw

How does love turn into

How does love turn into something so depraved as indifference? I imagine compassion is its antidote. I keep trying with *us*. ~A "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment of punishment." Article 6 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Indifference is [imo] much

Indifference is [imo] much less desirable than anger, even than bitterness. It is an ongoing negation without any cathartic expression. How well have you expressed this? Well let's just say I'm so pleased it wasn't addressed to me. I'd be diminished beyond redemption. Mike "not all matterings of mind equal one violet" ~ e e cummings ~

My x and I do well enough

My x and I do well enough when *separate* which is what divorce/separation means, eh? We don't do well living in the same house... it's no longer home to anything remotely resembling what was... and I must not have enough compassion to recreate our relationship as long as we're under the same roof. Only distance seems to make way for any compassion... Sadly. ~A "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment of punishment." Article 6 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
