Hope of a new day

I appear to have lost my swing.

you know that thing,

that keep's my hope's alive,

so i can survive,

when days are really tough,

and you feel you've had enough,

when friends just can't be found,

and no one comes around,

why do days fly bye, and bye,

it really makes me cry,

and the pain within i see,

seems to last an eternity,

and i sigh with a heavy heart,

wishing that i could depart,

to a time when i was young,

and the days where oh' so long,

to the time it used to be,

that i lived so carefree,

and everything was well,

instead of this living hell,

and sleep seems far away,

as i long for yesterday,

and time is ticking by,

and no matter how i try,

i cannot undo what i have done,

and i long to see the sun,

rise on a new day,

full of hope to come my way.

Hope

Al, You give me the impression that you are indeed, hopeful. Your word usage is very good. I like the part of realizing that you can't undo things that are done, but are hopeful yet of having a better day tomorrow. Way to go,Al. Your meter is a little rough, but I like it well enough to give it three stars.Gee.

Thanks Gee

Hi Gee thanks for the comment. This poem is to do with hardship, and pain but also hold the hope of a new tomorrow. Its part of a series that tell a story from history to do with Ireland. Glad yor still working, and driving your yellow buzz. one of my friends is from liverpool, and he's always saying about cars, " its a nice buzz" " its a nice bus". He see cars as buses to ferry people around in. Anyway enough of this. THANKS AGAIN HOPE TO CATCH UP SOON. Kind regards Al.
