SIX FEET IN

Six feet
Into the ground
Is the depth
Unwanted  dreams are bound
So I will dig for me
A grave
Measuring  six square feet

 I was digging
through my own sands of time
One question also?
Was making a grave in my mind

Each square foot measured ?
Had to ask
Why are you digging ?
A grave for your past

So I say

How can I be new ?
With mistakes
With lovers
Having , this reality
Is worthless to use

The sands I dig for
Measuring six square feet
This is my birth
As  measured
Is a better
A new life
Setting me free

So I put the past to rest

This grave
I will Bury
My joy's and pain
I will be a coward
Lacking the courage
To look pass this shame

But a headstone
Will tell
The truth
Here lays
A coward
Lacking the courage
To be someone else
Seem to be a better
Life he's choose

But my ghost
Said to me
Fool
Did you think
You were free

Saying more ?

No more sadness
No more death
No more graves ,
Be stronger,
Just accept
No grave
Can make your past the best

The poem is good... i think can be great, just needs polished. I think this message is great. I sent you a pm with some suggestions. I hope they are helpful. Thank you for asking me to read and give you my ideas. I hope I have not altered your meaning, because I believe it is strong, and tells us to shed those things in our past, those ways that have made us less than we can be. I think you have some terrific ideas. Use as much or as little as you would like from the suggestions. Keep writing, you have a good grasp of things. Practice and reading will help you get your groove and improve your presentation. Always Sincere, Tonya ps...i finally figured out what you meant by 'deaf' here. lol which actually, can be used in so many ways, i never thought of! i think you are expressing it as 'death' or 'emptyness, nothing going on'
