The sweetness of this gallaxy - Undoing the pain

Deep within you somewhere
I make contact
star to star you touch me
and we burn
glowing into future unknown gallaxies
open handed loving gifts
we learn

And in the vastness of the history behind us
we awaken still more lessons dressed in tears
as your eyes climb more inside me I can find us
more connected than we might be, given years

The sky has wept before us
all these visions swept
implore us
angels gather hearts to store us
for the cold
.... but that's my heart you hold

So we go swirling through eternity, unknowing
you catch my hand like otters
floating in the stars
neither knowing, or much caring where we're going
sweetness drawing out our grieving, healing scars

This is one of many penned in those few days of raw "being with"

Dear Ann, how did I miss this comment? Thank you I'm glad you like it, I was glad to have the inspiration to write it, I am blessed to be so well loved in such a gentle ways, & these overwhelmingly painful places in history, which for me were never soothed, are meeting with those of another.. & well.. being soothed! I never expected it. I wrote this on my recent trip to the Grampians, a rare trip away from everything, kids, work, even singing (though I am never far from that). It was a gentle time, of hearts meeting & history (that holds unbarable tragedy for both of us) unfolding. To actually really express, expose & share such deep pain is enormously bonding, I think we poets get more insight & exposure to that than the average human being. Because we had both lost our loves in sudden unexpected circumstances it was easy to express things we never had previously to anyone, for me 20 years of having this lake of feeling inside me never expressed, it was pretty amazing. This is one of many penned in those few days of raw "being with". Heh, no wonder I have been so ill since, probably a reflection of the release of all that emotional harbouring. Cheers my dear one xxx ~ Anni ~~~ "Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. It was a deep well this came from, but I feel it is the "lotus"

Oh thank you Wafi, that's lovely, I am glad to have touched you in such a way... You have such a lovely way of expressing yourself, it's quite a compliment. It was a deep well this came from, but I feel it is the "lotus" that floats at the top of the water, so the reader doesn't have to get wet or muddy! (heh) Cheers my friend ~ Anni ~~~ "Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. Wonderful Image

The image of float through the universe star to star is a rather powerful one, indeed. Well done.

Thank Bryan - it is a nice feeling too eh? That sense I tried to express, when you make a connection like that. I love it when I am moved to write like that. I'm such a hedonist in some ways... sigh!~ Anni ~~~ "Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. Hello Anni

It is good to be able to think as big as galaxy/ies/universe/es, yet pinpoint it to a specific relationship or event--'star to star'--what a big, but precise image; which I, of course, gather from: 'So we go swirling through eternity, unknowing you catch my hand like otters floating in the stars neither knowing, or much caring where we’re going sweetness drawing out our grieving, healing scars Deelilah

Yes, I agree with all that from you as always. & yes there's a few angles to most of what I write, at the same time there are undercurrents wherever I can slip them in,so there is that & also the sense that ... of all the billions of stars I may touch in my life, that I might find the one that glows into my own with such sweet harmony to draw & nurture good & wonder & growth & love... many stars do in one way or another but it's rare we actually find the combination that makes you both so blissfully compatable. The pinpoint or precision touch point, among the other wonderful celestial bodies. Cheers good woman xx ~ Anni ~~~ "Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. Thanks darling Beki girl, you are so sweet

Thanks darling Beki girl, you are so sweet. I think maybe we all have to get a bit "stopped" every 4 or 5 years, I rarely get so sick I have to stop, but I'm such a nag for everyone else to look after themselves, when I find it almost impossible to actually rest when I am sick... it's been a lesson this one. I had 2 bugs back to back, I should have rested with the 1st, but didn't more than I absolutely had to. Hope you learn from that too, I bet you probably soldier on as well. So honey take care xxx ~ Anni ~~~ "Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
