If tomorrow was yesterday

Sometimes in life we do things we wish we could change,
Go back and right the wrongs and make the world a better place.
Make a change, a real change.
If tomorrow was yesterday we would always have a chance to chose the right way.
At times I can't believe how thoughtless people can be,
Don't they see that they have just hurt their brother and made their sister cry.
Why can't all these wrongs just be right!
I scream at the top of my voice but no sound arises.
And all I am left with is the thought of if tomorrow was yesterday,
But all we have is today.
Today to live and make things right.
Yesterday has come and gone and tomorrow may come not.
Only, only if tomorrow was yesterday then we did not have to be bothered with today.

A cute piece, but it is of things that cannot be, the journey we are on or perceive our reason for life, would soon mean nothing if your wish came true. Later we will all have to answer for all the things we have done here and the great scales I hope will let God see that the good things you did in life, outwiegh the not so good, that is the pupose I hope of this life, and to learn of things in many ways. Thanks Ian.. which is exactly true.. it is just a wish.. So, many times we wish we can undo things we have done in our lives. But that takes away from life and the judgment in the end because we would probably all be walking around like a bunch of flawless angels lol... but we are humans. And humans make mistakes. After all what would the good times be without the bad times?...Just another day.. it is through the bad times that we get to appreciate the good. Well said Ian!

Welcome to Neopoet... it is a very warm community of poets for poets and I think you will love it, join in and offer comments on other poems here, make yourself known.... I felt your poem as I think we all at one time or another wish we would have done some things differently, but, we are forced to deal with our mistakes... Your poem is in need of editing in a few spots... we wish we can change... could change. we will always have a chance to chose the right way... we would always have a chance to choose the right way. Thanks for the welcome... Neo is awesome.. Why couldn't I discover it earlier.. No used crying over spill milk.. I found it now and I will drink all the milk I can.. I love the feel of the community.. Thanks much for the edits.. I struggle with the language with a lot but now that I have Neo have poets that will help.. :-)!
