Handcrafted

A calm and grey mood

brings time for reflecting

while I'm busy with my hands

handcrafting a line

out of nothingness

the lettered keys wait

and then send their packets

fresh from the synaptic

streams that end

at my fingertips

a line is laid down

then a pause

and then  a reorganization

of nebulous analogs

fresh packets stream

through the blood wires

of circuitry

and then erupt

as a plaintext

wordstream

If you're reading this

you're probably wondering

why did this person

even bother?

I just felt a need

to handcraft

something

Excellent

I'm impressed by the interweaving of technical jargon. Some folks may not understand what packets, plaintext, etc. are, but for me, it makes the poem all that much more creative. Nice to see you writing again. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "I wound her up, an' I shifted down, an' I offered this prayer to my Lord: Said, God, get me back home to Houston alive, an' I won't drive a truck anymore..." - Steve Earle

uhhh

I use packets to make my instant potatos Just kidding i know what they are I used to work around Bell canada and sometimes we had to put cable inside the great Machinery God houses of tall brick in towns (Huntsville ontario) and I asked a tech about all the tall trays of machinery winking blinking humming with nerve wires connecting weaving multicoloured with meaning mysterious He showed me explained like a wizard some of it I was impressed the most with tube based electronics still glowing still functioning in the modern setting (that was 1995) the modern machine can observe and watch time see a persons function brain response stimulus choice even finger pressure on laptop pad such intimacy its such an awesome world our brains though still the greatest mystery machine going wonderful poem to make me think today thank you kind sir for this
