i'm finished with Spaniards

1.

120 miles fom nowhere
as the crow flies
the silence overwhelms
4:07 Monday afternoon,
singing for my supper
i'm stuck in a heartless cage,
clawing at the sky
until it rains,

the night is an open window
of dreamless sleep
i smell salt air
and the moon is shining so.

2.

i am a word-slut
pure and simple
i lie down
waiting
for your hand
to make me feel again
my desire spreading
epiphanies
of surrender
burning,
burning
with revelation.

3.

If you love me
you'll have to charm me
with a proper British accent,
make me crazy,
make me wild
with your proper tongue,

you'll have to be a poet,
roll up your sleeve
and show me your heart,
crush me
with your delicacy,
we'll have to make love
ride
into the roundness of the world
blind deaf and dumb,
quite properly
finished.

Oddly enough Anna

As I was reading this, I was picturing a lady in Merry Olde, who was traveling with a troupe of entertainers, oh somewhere around late 17th century and the lady was a musician/dancer with the troupe run by a Spanish gentleman of questionable reputation and she was being persecuted by him because she rebuffed his advances. Okay, so I am weird. would make a good story though that could be written interspersed with some of the poetry/songs you write. Yeah yeah, go ahead, shoot me! *L* I liked it, so what? *G* Respectfully, Rett: Hug a logger, you'll never go back to trees! For the sake of children, read this. http://www.neopoet.com/node/19905

However, it always takes two

However, it always takes two to tango... i suppose words are my proper lover, now. I'm too much the indiscriminate lover, otherwise. lol. Much love Eddie, Anna "The way you make love is the way God will be with you." Rumi

Hmmm. Exactly,

Hmmm. Exactly, Eddie!!! However, some folks are in 41-years long loving relationships like you Eddie, (I fell in love with & married a Latin), some are in hot-phone-sex relationships, some are looking....some are trying someone on for size, so to speak, even as we speak. ;-) Love. ~A "The way you make love is the way God will be with you." Is there a distinct word for

Is there a distinct word for a male slut? I am similarly ravenous for words which stir me, and am sufficiently stirred by your beautifully crafted tryptich to volunteer for sluttishness. I think I might just pass muster [I'm sure you DO discriminate most assiduously] due to my British accent - though it's often a trifle improper and not always charming. Alas I did look more Spanish than most in my youth http://www.flickr.com/photos/7911705@N07/2220089936/sizes/o/ so that's me done for again ... [sigh] Seriously, this was a most absorbing piece, engaging and with a truly masterly[?] use of line breaks to guide interpretation. Lovely stuff. I damn-near drooled at the second part [slut that I am] Mike "not all matterings of mind equal one violet" ~ e e cummings ~

Male word-slut? another

Male word-slut? another 4-letter word: Poet... I have never considered myself a poetess... English words are neither masculine or feminine. Oh my, Mike, you nearly made me swoon with your 2nd paragraph. And you were a chameleon as I was when young... every picture/age looking a bit different, (though quite dashing!) Smile. I am. ~A "The way you make love is the way God will be with you." Rumi

What is it about a deep, sultry, English voice that makes us ladies go aflutter?? I think they're a breed of alien that radio chipped us, and are able to upload our brain..... Rolling on the floor,

Rolling on the floor, laughing my arse off... sometimes ya gotta spell it out... i do believe we've been -------------hijacked, rewired rebooted and now practice *selective listening*. Hugs my dear, in my next life i'm going to be......sinful. ~A "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment of punishment."
