kaleidoscope star
brilliant and buoyant
the vapors escape his aura
shattered and pieced
glinting this way and that
falling…my mourning star is
known, named and claimed
I have no right but he is my
exquisite disaster; my only appeal
like kaleidoscope reflections
of soul wrapped tight
round pinky’s tip
as splintered shards
of radiant passion
pierce my veins
he darns the last of me
pulling us together
stitch by stitch, reborn
with new words packed away
under tongue and cheek
we voyage together now
only wisps of color
tangled round our supernova
