Hope's Evolution

It comes, from nowhere
welling up in me
the wave swelling
building, readying itself
to emerge

a tears slips
spills from the depth
of these eyes
born brown but
living with blackness

I've grown accustomed to the battle
victory elludes me
constantly dancing
juggling fire on some
distant shore
of forgiveness

In a far away land
of self accepting
I can hear the singing
choral wonder
at a world still
just beginning
always starting
never ending

the peaks and troughs
the stop and go
shattered but regrouping
I find comfort
in the recovery of love
in the arms of
hope's evolution

Beautifully written, clear

Beautifully written, clear and crisp. As fortune's shift from sad and sorry to [all-too-rarely] joy, we lean on hope. HOPE'S BEST Sometimes when it's worst I know what's best But I also know That what is best hurts most Best of all when it's worst hope hurts least. I conclude, then, In spite of all, hope's best. You’re very welcome - yes,

You're very welcome - yes, one of mine. I really should resist the temptation to answer with a piece of mine - but it seemed to fit nicely, and it's in very good company indeed. Mike "not all matterings of mind equal one violet" ~ e e cummings ~
