Optimum Absorption

Sledgehammer rules
breaking meditations

preventing panic...
I breathe deep the perfect blue of concentration.

swirling
settling
easing

solidifying the center...
rubbering any room for regulations.

visualized
absorbed
regrouped with each breath's vitalization.

achieving
believing
connecting blues
I am "one" with Life's Creations.

sticking with me

your words have stuck with me all day,as i have slowly gotten back to a calmer state. i have endured three of the worst days of past years since my last motorcycle accident. my computer got a virus, i had [have]some difficult family problems, and i've suffered two days with a severe glacoma attack.[most likely brought on with stress]your poem has left me with a new sense of resolve. i will try to take some deep breaths, concentrate on the center of my life, and strive to arrive in the rubber-room. thank you my friend for these thoughts to focus on.gee

Hello Richard

I was struck by the centering affect of this poem as well. Sometimes we need a rubber room. I know how it feels to concentrate so much into a small space, like the concentration it might take to run a jack hammer. Driving through traffic in Los Angeles has a similar affect on me. By the way, you were gone, then I was gone--it's been a while since we talked. I missed you. Always, Deelilah

You can be as long-winded as you want to on my pages... in fact, it is most welcome... No suggestions... I take that as quite the compliment! thanks Richard

This one takes me straight

This one takes me straight to the eye of the storm, the calm centre where edges blur and oneness almost seems easy, if indeed it could seem anything at all. Great write Richard, much love b xx

Beki...

Well now, I am glad you got that out of this write... because we are indeed at all times susceptible to all of life's stormy trials that we as humans face each and every moment whether aware or not... love the way you read... Richard

Great title and awesome flow. It "sounds" different from your normal writes as far as tempo and stuff go. :~) ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "I wound her up, an' I shifted down, an' I offered this prayer to my Lord: Said, God, get me back home to Houston alive, an' I won't drive a truck anymore..." - Steve Earle

Good art therapy.

Creating, taking something away, giving something, too. I believe I've seen the rubber room/padded room theme in other of your writings. Your writing is so relatable, always touching the human core - and it's dangerous there.

thank you Arrow...

humbled by your appreciation!!! Yes, the rubber room... I think we all flirt with sanity's edges... I know I have on numerous occasions, and its been an observation that most do, even those that won't admit it... dangerous treadings indeed! thanks for reading the piece... Richard
