Woman

One foot on outer, the other on space.

With infinite skill the earth took shape.

Oceans, clouds, lush green lands, rocky shores

Deep caverns, mountains and more…

Plants, animals, birds and fish galore.

A flick of an omni- finger-swish

A Garden of Eden, fertile from shore to shore.

Pure and pristine life flourished a paradise for sure.

One more thing to add - man.

Man alone a desperate mistake.

With divine wisdom a feminine form.

A woman made to run this place.

Hi Dana...

Good to see you on the board... I like the sparkle in this write and I have no doubt about women being the more powerful between the two... Loved the ending line... I did want to make one suggestion... omni finger, swish... felt it should be... omni-finger-swish... just a suggestion... welcome back... Richard

Hi Richard

It has been awhile since I have posted. I have been writing though. Thank you for your reading and constructive comment. I like the look of the poem with the change. It also gives an effective pulse to that line. Thank you. Good to be back. Dana

Hey Dana!

Haven't seen you for a while gal! Good to see you again. I love the poem and also the change Richard suggested. Don't be such a stranger! So very glad to see you back! Respectfully, Rett: Hug a logger, you'll never go back to trees! For the sake of children, read this. http://www.neopoet.com/node/19905
